Baby Picket Fence Quilt in Good Fortune {My February Goal!}

This post may contain affiliate links. Thank you for your support!

My One Monthly Goal for February 2016 is a baby Picket Fence quilt in Kate Spain's Good Fortune collection!  Picket Fence is the first pattern I wrote and is the best-selling of all my patterns by far!  This is a custom order through my Etsy shop, so I'd better have it completed in February!

I have two layer cakes but will only need part of one, so there will be plenty left to play with!  The blue is the binding, and the gray is the backing, though the backing may end up pieced in some manner.  This is the last of my Good Fortune yardage, and since I'll have lots of layer cake squares left, I'll keep my eye out for more yardage at a great price.  One advantage of not using brand-new collections right away and letting them age on the shelf is that yardage for backing is usually at a very reduced price by the time I get around to needing it!

Cute pattern, Myra. You can do this in your timeframe.

I can see why that pattern is a best seller. It would be very scrap friendly, too! I like your thinking on the reason aging the fabric is okay. ;)

I'm looking forward to seeing your picket fence pattern made up in this fabric line. I love Kate Spain designs!

I love that Good Fortune line! The (only) quilt I made for my own bed featured that line and I smile each time I see it. Good luck with yours! And thanks for linking up to Building Blocks Tuesday!

This will be a cute quilt with those fabrics. Love Kate Spain, and yeah, yardage is cheaper if you wait a while!
