Finished or Not Friday + TGIFF {a Linky Party!} + Castle Dreams {a New Pattern!}

Welcome to Finished or Not Friday where you can share your finished {or not} projects!  I'm also hosting TGIFF, Thank Goodness It's Finished Friday!

My Finish is a new quilt pattern, Castle Dreams!  This striking pattern uses layer cake squares with yardage of three fabrics plus a background fabric.  The pattern includes instructions for six sizes from baby to king with easy-to-read charts and diagrams.

The quilt pictured is a queen size.  This quilt is made from Handmade by Bonnie & Camille with a background of Moda Cross Weave in black.  I will be using this as a background fabric again.  It is so soft!  This cute hexie print is my favorite fabric in the entire Handmade line, and I almost didn't include it, thinking it was too busy!  It fits right in, and I'm so glad I did!

I can't get enough of the extra wide Aqua check from Bonnie & Camille's Vintage Picnic line!  It seems more minty than aqua in person and is simply delish!  This is the third quilt I've backed with a Vintage Picnic extra wide (you can see the other two here and here), and I've also made curtains and a tablecloth with it.

Hobbes the cat loves the quilt!  And so do my parents, so this is a gift to them!  If they didn't want it, I was going to keep it for myself ... I love it that much!  I'm so happy that I will be able to see it at their house!!

Castle Dreams is available for purchase in my Craftsy shop and my Etsy shop!

Last week's most viewed link was this beautiful vintage Double Wedding Ring quilt by Pamela!

This weekend every Craftsy class is less than $20!!  Grab one today!

It's your turn to share your finish {or not}!  What's welcome at this party?  Any in-progress or finished project made with fabric, yarn, or thread is welcome!  Include the Finished or Not Friday button or a text link that links back to this week's link-up in order to share the fun.  No, I won't delete your link if you don't, but hey, adding a link in your post is just being friendly, so be friendly and share!!

I will pin your links to my Finished or Not Friday Pinterest board to get your link more exposure.

  3. That dark fabric is beautiful. I've always been a white background girl, I may need to venture out into the dark side. It looks lovely.

  5. Myra, this pattern has a lot of depth, and I like that you can't take it all in at once. You eye starts with the squares, and goes back and forth to the castles. Very nice work!

  7. This is a beautiful pattern with beautiful fabrics! I would want to keep it too but giving it to parents is the next best thing, maybe even better right? Thanks for hosting TGIFF (I need to screw up my courage and do that one of these days). I will be sure to link up with your Finished or not linky that Julie of Pink Doxies told me about just this week!
